Still have questions?
Check out some of my FAQ's.
1. Where should we take my senior pictures?
- I utilize locations all throughout DFW to give you variety and match your style/personality! I like to learn about you, your likes/dislikes, and your style before we choose a spot. Location can make or break your session - so it's important to consider a multitude of factors (outfit, lighting, season, day/time, etc) before we finalize that detail! Please note that not all locations are available for all collections.
2. What is your turn around time?
- This is one of the things that sets PBK apart from the rest. My turnaround time is QUICK. I always post at least one image the same day as your session and then I will have your proofing gallery within 1 week *usually less*. After you choose your favorites, you will have your final images within 1-2 weeks. Times may vary depending on the amount of editing required (acne/blemishes, busy background, etc), but I like to jam out editing to keep you from waiting!
3. How do I receive my images?
-After I am finished editing your gallery, I will send you a link to download your images. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THEM & SAVE THEM TO A LAPTOP OR DESKTOP! Keeping images saved on your phone is the best way to lose them. After you download and save your images, then you may upload them to your preferred vendor for printing. I only hold client images for 60 days and then they may be purged/deleted. You may purchase a USB with your images for $10.
4. Where should I print my images?
-I do not require you to print your images through me, although I do give every client the option to do so. If you would rather DIY prints, then I recommend Mpix. They are great quality and have a rather quick turnaround time.
5. Should I get professional hair and makeup?
-YES! YES! YES! Hear me out. How many times in your life do you get to be pampered and have a full glam experience? NOT MANY! Most girls only experience professional hair and makeup on 1-2 occasions throughout their lives, so why not splurge a little and glam it up for your senior portraits? I promise, you will NOT regret it. My makeup artist only uses professional products (you won't find these at ulta) and creates a custom look specifically for your face.
6. What time of the year is best for my session?
-Think about the type of outfits you would like to wear and then we can pick a season. Do you want to wear a dress with sandals? Or a cute sweater with boots? Fall colors don't arrive in North Texas until late November, so keep that in mind when picking a date. Wildflowers can also be hard to predict and they aren't in peak bloom until late spring - which may be cutting it too close for yearbook deadlines or graduation cards! Summer sessions can be fun, but it will be HOT! In studio sessions are perfect for any time of the year.
7. What should I wear?
-This ties into one of the most important details - LOCATION! I strongly recommend picking your outfits first and then we can choose a location to match. The reason I do this is to prevent clashing and to make sure your whole session runs smoothly. Busy or patterned dresses do not mix will with all locations, and you don't want to wear green at a nature park. I also really love it when clients dress up - here is your excuse to buy that nice dress or fancy shoes! (PBK style guide coming soon!)
8. Can I bring a friend?
-AB.SO.LUTELY! YES! I love it when friends come along. They can help carry your outfits, fix hair, and hype you up! Positive vibes only. Please do not bring any party poopers to your session. **If you would like to have your session without a parent present, please ask.**
9. I'm a twin. Can we do our session at the same time?
-Maybe?! Most twins spend their whole lives getting lumped together into "the twins", so I don't love doing twins at the same time. I know it's SUPER convenient, so I will consider it if both twins want the same location and their outfits compliment each other. I don't want one of y'all in a prom dress and the other in jean shorts! Please ask if you have more questions about twin/sibling sessions. *Please note that you may not split your session and will be required to purchase 2 separate sessions.*
